Our Client is a mid sized, multi-million turnover 3PL provider of transport and warehousing services to a wide range of food manufacturers in the ambient sector. This new role, encompassing both transport and fleet management and is a key contributor to the overall direction of the Company.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the management of a mixed fleet ensuring for safety, compliance, maintenance, routing, scheduling and customer liaison. In addition, you will assume fleet management responsibility ensuring that costs are contained, in a difficult economic climate. You will work closely with all functional and operational colleagues to produce world class service levels and adherence to customers SLAs.
An accomplished leader and team builder, you will have a demonstrable track record of managing a busy transport function. Certainly CPC qualified (National/International) you will have held previous O’ licence responsibility and enjoy good working relationships with the regulatory bodies. You will have strong IR/ER skills and have the capability to grow with the business. In interpersonal terms, you will be analytical, calm under pressure, adaptable, enthusiastic and have clear problem solving and communication skills. Numeracy, literacy and IT skills are essential as is your desire to become an equity holder, in the future.
