Our Client is a substantial global retail and distribution business, with a recognised portfolio of high end, urban chic and traditional fashion offerings. Their continuing growth is based upon an uncanny prediction to emerging trends, to customer vision, supply chain innovation and upon customer service at ‘world class’ levels. As part of this development the Company recognises that the logistics division needs further refinement. This new role reflects their commitment to both best practice and to ongoing career prospects for the appointee.
Working closely with the Divisional Director and with functional and operational colleagues and a demanding international customer, you will have a full and unencumbered remit to develop the supply chain aspect of the logistics function and implant the highest standards of operational delivery to internal and external ‘customers’. You will provide inspirational leadership, strong team building capabilities, and rigid attention to challenging KPIs in this high SKU environment. You will be the champion of all people and system processes.
Certainly of graduate calibre and ideally with a relevant post-graduate qualification, your supply chain background will have been gained in high street fashion and you must possess a passion for the sector. An earlier background in a 3PL would be advantageous, but above all you must possess the intellect and presence to make an early difference. In interpersonal terms, you will be an able communicator with strong analytical skills, reasoning and logic. A good working knowledge of WMS will be essential as will your ability to think and act like a fashion retailer with high credibility and impact.
